Tech Mama Teaches ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit techmamateaches.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. If any part of this is unclear, that's on us to fix — email us at hello@techmamateaches.com and we'll explain it in plain English.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Email address — when you sign up for our newsletter or opt in to a free guide, checklist, or resource.
- Messages you send us — if you email us, comment, or otherwise contact us directly.
We do not currently sell any paid products or courses on this Site. If that changes, we'll update this policy to describe what payment and account information is collected, and by whom (for example, a third-party payment processor that handles your card details directly — we would never store your full card number ourselves).
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes. We don't currently run analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies (like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) on this Site. If we add any in the future, we'll update this policy and this section will describe what's added and how you can opt out.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send the newsletter, weekly tips, or free resource you signed up for.
- Respond to questions or messages you send us.
- Keep the Site secure and working correctly.
- Understand, in a general way, what content is helpful so we can make more of it.
We will never sell your email address or personal information to anyone. Full stop.
3. Email & how we store it
When you subscribe, your email address is stored in our database (hosted on Supabase) so we can send you the emails you asked for. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@techmamateaches.com.
We use a third-party email delivery service (currently Resend) to actually send the emails. They process your email address on our behalf, only to deliver our messages — they don't get to use it for their own marketing.
4. Cookies
The Site itself doesn't currently set tracking or advertising cookies. Google Fonts, which we use for our typography, may load small resources from Google's servers when you visit the Site; Google's own privacy policy governs that connection. If we add analytics or advertising cookies later, we'll disclose them here and, where required, ask for your consent first.
5. Who we share information with
We don't share your personal information with third parties except:
- Service providers who help us run the Site and send email — currently Supabase (database) and Resend (email delivery). They only use your information to provide that service to us.
- If required by law — for example, in response to a valid legal request.
- In a business transfer — if Tech Mama Teaches is ever acquired or its assets sold, subscriber information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this same policy (or one at least as protective).
6. Your choices & rights
You can:
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in its footer, any time.
- Ask what we have — email us and we'll tell you what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete it — email us and we'll remove your information from our systems, other than what we're legally required to keep.
- Ask us to correct it — if something we have on file about you is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
If you're in the EU/UK, California, or another location with its own privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have additional specific rights under that law — the rights above are how to exercise them with us in practice. Just email hello@techmamateaches.com and we'll take care of it.
7. Children's privacy
This Site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
8. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including restricting database access so that only our backend systems (not the public website) can read or write subscriber data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we don't ask you for anything more sensitive than your email address, and we intend to keep it that way for as long as possible.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, let subscribers know by email.
10. Contact us
